Enrolment Process

Families are invited to book a School Tour to experience how St John the Apostle Parish School feels for you and your child.

Come along and ask all the questions you need to learn more about how St Johns may be the ideal school for your child.

Once you have lodged your Application Form, we will contact you for an interview. On acceptance, you will be invited to take part in our transition program.

In South Australia, most children start primary school the year they turn 5 or 6 years old.

When your child is eligible to begin will depend on their date of birth. Please see our Enrolment Calculator for your child's school start date.

Children who turn 5 years old:

• before 1 May can start school in term 1
• between 1 May and 31 October can start school in term 3 (mid-year intake)
• after 31 October start the following year.

In South Australia, all children must be in school by their 6th birthday - this is the compulsory school age.
