We enjoyed Mud Day where we all used our resilience and getting along keys, the team building activities made us work together, most of us loved getting muddy in the pit and splashing each other, we all ensured Mr Egidio and Mrs Maillard joined in the fun too!

We have continued our year 1 art work this term and created some beautiful and fun pieces, from Aliens in Underpants, to ‘masking tape’ art, to still life flowers. We have also experimented with Torres Strait Islander Art work, we learned they use white lines on black backgrounds to create their pictures and are often linked to sea creatures. Please take a look at these on display.

Science morning was great, we were able to share with our families how the Earth orbits the sun and why day turns to night, using some models we made.

In maths we were learning about money and how to recognise the coins so we turned our classroom in to a market and bought and sold items from the various stalls, this was a fun way to learn the different coins and their values.
